Even though there is a great deal of buzz out there about foreign manufactured autos, in my feeling, they merely do not possess the same feeling as old American automobiles. Yes, there are a healthy bunch of Japanese automobiles that can go fast, and last longer than most American automobiles, but none of them have the grace and looks of a Viper or a camaro. These American muscle cars are the stuff that the dreams of many were shaped by, with their speed, their horsepower, their luxury, and their hot styling. Well ahead of the times of the small and efficient rice burners, street hugging, gasoline gulping American automobiles truly dominated the entire world, as the American empire did.

You can understand why commercial businesses give preference to Japanese cars once you are done with the reading. One of the main reason is they are fuel-efficient. You can also get to see the comparison results of American and Japanese makes/models.

With the price of oil rising above $120, it is the strong suspicion of many industry experts that buyers will soon be spending $4 a gallon for petrol. This would of course mean that American citizens would look for smaller, less gas-guzzling cars, so as not to obliterate their own earnings. While understandable, there are other aspects to consider if you are considering this type of swap.

More importantly: does anyone care?
