Normally, you could backup your files to ensure the files usable, that is to backup or duplicate your files and save them in different places in case you still can use them once the files are deleted or destroyed. By using backup, you can create a duplicate copy of all the files on your hard disk and then archive it on another storage device, such as an external hard disk or a tape.
