The vacuum cleaner that you buy should be suitable for the particular purposes that you will need it for.

If you intend using the vacuum in your garage rather than in the home then you might need to consider a commercial model vacuum that can handle the rigors of the workshop. You might even need to consider a wet vacuum that can clean up liquid spills.

As with most things in life, there is really nothing free. The two most claimed advantages to bagless vacuum cleaners were lower operating costs and better performance. As far as the cost issues go, all vacuums must filter the exhausting air they use to carry the dirt into the collection area, as they would otherwise simply pick the dirt up from the floor and spit it right back out.

There was a time not to long ago when a vacuum cleaner was basically the same machine no matter where or how it was purchased. In previous times, the decision on what vacuum cleaner to purchase was based more on the "extras" the salesman offered but more often than not, it was the financing arrangements that were available.

There are many companies selling vacuum cleaners in the market today that claim that they are the best. But all of them have in common is an over active marketing department that will focus on some aspect or benefit of their product, while ignoring the weaker aspects of that same vacuum cleaner.

Shark vacuum cleaners are made by a company called Euro-Pro. Euro-Pro itself manufacturers many different appliances and used to manufacture its own line of vacuum cleaners, but now it sells them under the Shark vacuum cleaner brand. What follows is a quick summary of the vacuum cleaners by Shark.

I've been using the Eureka Optima for several months. Whilst it does have some drawbacks (what vacuum cleaner doesn't?) I'm pleased with my purchase, especially as the Eureka Optima Bagless Vacuum Cleaner is attractively priced at around $60.

I wanted an inexpensive but reliable vacuum cleaner with decent suction power. Eventually I bought the Eureka Maxima Bagless vacuum cleaner. Buying something cheap, and hoping that it performs as promised, is usually only going to end in disappointment. Well, buying the Eureka Maxima vacuum didn't end in disappointment, although there are some disappointments with it.

Everything that a vacuum picks up, no matter what type it may be, needs to be deposited somewhere - normally in a vacuum cleaner bag. Back in 1920, the Air Way Sanitizer Company of Ohio introduced the first vacuum cleaner with a disposable vacuum bag. Until that time, the bags for vacuum cleaners resembled the type of bags that golfers used to carry their clubs. They were somewhat heavy and awkard devices made out of thick, stiff canvas, designed to be very flexible and still keep dust and debris from the carpets from escaping out into the air.

Most homes have at least some carpeting or at least a rug or two that needs to be vacuumed on a regular basis. Generally, you are supposed to vacuum your carpets once per week for every member of your household that uses that room. Running a vacuum cleaner that frequently will prevent dirt or spills from working their way down deep into the carpet fibers. This means that you will not have to shampoo your carpets as often. All that being said, you need a good vacuum cleaner in your home and there are several features that you should be looking for when making your decision.

Until recent years, a vacuum cleaner was simply a useful tool in the domestic world. It was closed up in a closet until time to use, and not given very much attention at all. The times have changed since this perception.

For those who want a lightweight, cordless vacuum cleaner that can also operate as a handheld device when needed, the Electrolux Pronto could be the solution. However, like all other Electrolux models, it doesn't come cheap. What follows are some pros and cons to help you decide if the Pronto stick vacuum is for you.

The Hoover Self Propelled WindTunnel Bagless Upright U6634900 is a vacuum cleaner with bagless technology and a HEPA filter that filters out practically 100 per cent of allergens. With a powered pet hair tool that is able to be used on upholstered furniture and stairs and an embedded DirtFINDER that turns green when the carpet is clean, this is a Hoover vacuum cleaner that is billed as a serious cleaning machine.

The Hoover Savvy Bagless Upright U8174900 is a powerful vacuum cleaner that uses a combination of patented WindTunnel technology and 2 air paths that work simultaneously to create suction that deep cleans carpeting. There is an impressive twin chamber bagless dirt cup that is easy to empty and this model comes with a lifetime belt that supposedly never needs to be replaced.

The canister vacuum is a popular choice for many people. Many find it easier to use and more comfortable than an upright vacuum. The reason isn't difficult too understand. With an upright vacuum cleaner you have to carry around the motor. Each time you sweep the vacuum head, you're also sweeping the motor. A canister vacuum cleaner is far less tiring because you only carry the weight of the hose and tube - dragging the motor behind you.

Electrolux have manufactured the first and only canister vacuum to feature two HEPA filters that can be cleaned on-board - you simply press a switch that rotates the filter so that the old one is cleaned while the new one gets to work. But does the Electrolux Twin Clean vacuum cleaner deliver on its promise and does it match the performance of other vacuum cleaners?
