Caged animals... It probably began in the past when man began to understand the beauty of animals. Coupled with his power over them, he probably decided that he wanted to have the beautiful animals that he had encountered on his hunting trips to be near him. In the 1330s, the bubonic plague killed millions of people. Transmitted by rats, the disease originated from China. It later spread to Europe when merchants came back from their long voyage from China. The disease was also spread by fleas that when passed on to humans, became fatal. Others claim that there's comparatively little risk, and that an epidemic, if it does happen, will probably not occur before next winter at the earliest, and may not be as widespread or as severe as was first thought.
