As a literary publicist I often am asked about publicity tips, tricks, and the magic behind my work. It's not magic. All you need to know are the basics and from there you will be able to create an effective book promotion. Below I've listed the most vital and basic tips to a successful book publicity campaign.

As a publicist for New York Times Best Selling Authors, like Deepak Chopra, I know the benefits of becoming an author. You've dreamt of becoming an author along with thinking of title ideas. You told your friends and loved ones you wanted to write a book. All you need to do now is make it happen.

There are many different types of events and there are different people who you will like to attract to the party, however, you need to attract the right people to the event or it just won't be the same. One of the best ways to attract the right people is make your party a private party. Private parties are invitation only. When you have a private party you are able to limit the amount of people who will attend and also the type of people that will come. This is when you can send it to all the people that you truly would like at the party. However, just because you invite them, doesn't mean that they will come. So how do you get the people who really want to come to the party?

The internet has brought us many great things including streaming music, online shopping, electronic bill pay and many more beneficial applications. One thing that I feel is often overlooked but very valuable is ebooks. Especially ebooks in the non fiction/self improvement subject areas.

I started making my own book marks a few years ago and have become almost addicted to it. Sometimes I use a book mark over and over again, but often I will make a special book mark for each book that I read.

Some of us write simply because we can't not write. Ideas grab us, move us, and demand to be written. We strive to make it as real as we possibly can, to improve at our craft every day, hopefully to make it into the realm of literature as well as entertainment. We want to craft an entire world where the places and people are so real that the reader doesn't feel like he's reading a book as much as he is going to another place. In the lofty world of literature that we strive for, the reader will still think about the book after reading that last page.
