When you shoot a photo you need to set the camera to the values that would result in the photo you want to get. However sometimes it is hard to find those settings or there is just not enough time to figure out what they are - auto bracketing can help - here is how.

When cameras are left to their automatic settings, it's almost guaranteed that they'll incorrectly exposure a waterfall - they'll either overexpose it and you'll lose all the detail in the water, or more likely underexpose everything around it and turn the water grey. Exposure is defined as how much light hits the camera's sensor. It depends on the camera settings mainly aperture and shutter speed. Exposure value (known as EV) is a number that represents the exposure setting of the camera. We will explain what the number means and how it is used for exposure compensation.

Even beginning photographers can take control of their images, creating the images they imagine through manual control of shutter speed and aperture. This article offers a basic explanation of these concepts and how to use them.
