I recently packed up some belongings and headed to a local park where I planned to spend the entire day. I did this because I was overwhelmed with the busyness of life and I knew that I needed to get away in order to have some effective hours of writing for my next book. So I packed the books I was reading, my three journals, a picnic lunch, plenty of water and tea, my camera, and my favorite blanket and I was off for a day at the park.

The 2005 Cardinals were led by one of the greatest offensive player's in baseball, Albert Pujols (.330 41 117). Joined by outfielders Jim Edmonds (.263 29 89), Reggie Sanders (.271 21 54) and Larry Walker (.289 15 82), Pujols and company assembled a regular season winning record of 100-62. During the playoffs, the St. Louis Cardinals lost in 6 games to the Astros. Tony's Larussa's team performed well in the postseason, first by sweeping the Padres in 4 straight games and then with Pujols providing some memorable extra inning heroics in game 5 of the LCS against Houston. Watching Sunday's football games that featured the finalists of the NFC and AFC was an exciting spectacle with all four teams giving their darnest best to win their respective divisions and represent these divisions for the ultimate winner of Super Bowl XLIII to be held at Tampa Bay, Florida on February 1. With the departure of slugger Sammy Sosa, the offensive output for the Chicago Cubs has been replaced by the likes of superstars Derek Lee (.335 46 107) and Aramis Ramirez (.302 31 92). Both players came into their own in 2005 along with the help of Jeremy Burnitz (.258 24 87), catcher Michael Barrett (.276 16 61) and 2nd baseman Todd Walker (.305 12 40). Lee in particular impressed in 2005, hitting 27 home runs prior to the all star break and leading the league in hitting by the end of the season.

Tetris fish come in a wide variety, which include the Paracheirodon Axelrodi. The fish has a common name known as Cardinal Tetra. This fish type grows 1 1/4 inches in size and comes from the Upper Rio Negro, Columbia, and Brazil. Similar to the Neon Tetra in color this fish differs in that it has a broader spectrum of colors. Unlike Neon fish, the Cardinals have red colors on the cover of their gill. The fish feed and expect water conditions same as the Neon fish. OK, you’ve decided you absolutely love bird watching and need to buy new binoculars for your new found hobby. How did this happen? Maybe you were invited to join a friend on an all-day field trip and came back just knowing this was a hobby for you as well. Or maybe you started dabbling with some back yard birding on your own with a $25 pair of old compacts and gradually became hooked over time.
