We live in a world of still and moving images. We live in a fans' world made from bright colors and famous people. There are two big categories of people: those who live in the public eye and those who represent the public. The latter is hungry for images of the former and they can never get enough. The former is hungry for the admiration of the latter. From time to time, they do get enough of each other, but unfortunately the machine can't stop spinning once it started. There is a certain category among the journalists that people are even sometimes reluctant to call journalists, namely the paparazzi, who work in the celebrity business. MySpace is part of a growing new movement on the Internet of "social networking" sites. Before we ask the question - are celebrities happy, let us first find out what is happiness? Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, Matt Damon, Zac Efron, Justin Timberlake, what do these people all have in common: they are all male, good looking, famous, but most of all, they are pictures of these people shirtless. Male celebrities, just like their female counterparts, are equally objectified as objects of sexual desire. And whatever a woman might say, they all find well built bodies attractive. Dangerously bordering between a healthy habit to an obsessive fetish, perusing images of shirtless male celebrities have slowly crept into the daily routines of most teenage daughters, mothers, and even grandmothers. Apparently, a lot of men also seem to include this ritual in their daily tasks, no doubt to compare whose abdominals are tighter or which shirtless guy would most probably land him a lot of women.
