Unfortunately, by the time you exited high school, your habitual patterns of thinking may as well have been set in concrete, and those habitual thinking patterns were essentially placed there by someone other than you.

We are where we are, because of our thoughts in the past. Thoughts become things. We consciously or subconsciously always think about something. The problem is that we usually think more about things we don't want, than about the things we want. It doesn't matter if we want or don't want something, we'll get what we mostly think about.

The single most important question for any Life Coach, Teacher, Counselor or Psychotherapist is…"What determines human behavior?" If you cannot answer this question you are simply guessing how to help your clients or students with their emotional state and behavior.

The joy that you seek is the result of choosing the intent to learn rather than the intent to control. Learn how to consciously begin choosing the intent to learn about loving yourself.

Other methods for establishing goals were available to me. They included hypnosis, self hypnosis, as well as subliminal media, but since I desired to have as much conscious control of the process as possible, I chose affirmations.

There is no failure gene in your DNA, so there is no need to worry about it. Just imagine, your mind is a goal-seeking, goal-achieving part of you, and it carries out those operations in a machine-like manner. You can never fail in your efforts to master the power of your mind, but you must persist.

You can be happy to know that to be successful, it is really essential to take more time for enjoyable diversion, instead of working longer and harder. Working smarter means working with your whole mind. Don't do more work with your conscious mind than is necessary or you are wasting energy. Hold your mind on what you intend to manifest and then go do something else.

We're in a good mood as long as we get up on time, the kids cooperate and get to school on time, the car starts without a problem, we don't encounter any traffic jams on the way to work, the boss doesn't yell, our workload is manageable, etc. This system can work fine as long as everything runs smoothly in our lives.

You are responsible for your life. Whether it is your health, your wealth, your happiness, and subsequently the kind of life you live, you are responsible. All too often, the road most of us take is to pass our responsibility on to others. Here are three factors for you to consider. First, everyone is being moved to some goal by his or her subconscious mind. That is not to say that everyone is CONSCIOUSLY directing her or his subconscious mind toward a goal.

At an event at the Sustainability Resource Center at the Sedona Public Library, I was asked an interesting question. “What are five things people can do to become more sustainable?” Frankly, I was surprised by the question, though I should not have been. I’ve been engaged in the dialogue on sustainability for more than 20 years now. But I’ve never been asked that particular question before.

For example, when you started to swim for the first time, were you not afraid of drowning? However, today, you are a good swimmer and this has been possible because you learnt to overcome your fear of drowning.
