We've all been stuck behind those drivers who are all over the road. You see cars swerving, driving slower than they should ad other unpredictable driving patterns. It once was you'd only see this type of driving from drunk drivers. However, these dangerous driving patterns characteristics of a new type of distracted driving: texting.

There are three main categories relating to unsafe driving outlined in the Road Traffic Act 1988 which are careless or inconsiderate driving, dangerous driving and causing death by dangerous driving (which may be aggravated by consumption of drink or drugs).

So you think you are much safer driving drowsy than driving when you have had too much to drink. However, the truth behind this is that both are considered to be dangerous.

When you think about proper car safety, you automatically think of seat belts, following the speed limit, or using your blinkers. How come we don't think about turning our cell phones off or using a hands free device? Texting and driving is becoming just as dangerous as drinking and driving. Hazard perception test is an interactive practice session in the driving theory test featuring hazard perception clips to identify the developing potential hazards. The government is committed to reducing the numbers killed and seriously injured on Britain's roads by 40 per cent by 2010.
