Many different things have an impact on a child's behaviour.

Bad behaviour is often an effective way to attract attention of parents. The conflicting time will probably start at the stage during her third year: tears and tantrums often go hand in hand with being two years old.

When relationship problems strike, there are key steps you can take to get your relationship back on track. It's very likely that your partner will not want to participate, so if your partner is not interested in getting involved and has given up, just by changing your behaviour you can start to change theirs without them knowing.

Most of us have strong opinions on how to guide our children's behaviour. Unfortunately, these opinions often focus on stopping the inappropriate behaviour and neglect to give significant emphasis to helping children learn new, more appropriate ways to behave. People who work with young children have a golden opportunity and an awesome responsibility to help children learn to make appropriate behaviour choices which, in turn, can lead to enhanced self-esteem and self-discipline.

Behaviour based interviewing has become increasingly common in various parts of the world. Essentially, it assumes that if you have displayed certain qualities/ behaviour in the past, you will be able to do that in the future as well. So during a behaviour based interview, employers try to understand if you have previously displayed the qualities/behaviour that is required for high performance on the job in question.

Training a new dog or even one which has been part of your family for some time can be time consuming and frustrating at times to say the least, but in the end it's well worth the trouble and if you stick to it you will surely be satisfied with the results if you follow the techniques correctly. "Please put away your toys now and eat your dinner", you say to your child. A few minutes later, your child still refuses to stop playing with his toys. He begins to throw a tantrum when you try to stop him.

Sounds familiar? As parents, we have to deal with misbehaviour from children from time to time. How do we encourage good behaviour in children, and how do we discourage bad behaviour? How can we discipline our children effectively?

Before you bring a second (or even a third) cat into your home, you should make sure you are familiar with cat behaviour, both with regards to territorial behaviour and aggression, and the basic principles of cats will accept a newcomer, especially a kitten(which may perceived as less of a threat), but others will not.

Consequences, when used correctly, encourage good behaviour and help to keep the lines of communication open between parent and child. A proper form of discipline teaches the child to become a responsible adult with self-discipline and consideration for other people.

A dog is part of your family and should be shown the love and respect that it deserves. By training a dog not to bark at the wrong times, as part of a dog behaviour training programme, you are helping it and yourself to a more fulfilling and rewarding relationship that will last for years to come. (And you will probably get on with your neighbours a lot better as well.

Humans are animals and animal behaviour is hard wired and mostly predictable. One behaviour in particular: People always choose the easiest way to get what they need. Which doesn’t mean our needs can’t be complex or irrational or altruistic. Just that given a choice we always choose the easiest path.
