I have always been smitten with the smallest things in life. In fact, even as a kid I remember being fascinated with small things and with finding beauty in places that most people ignored. So when it came time to purchase a home for me and my own family, there were naturally so many detail things that I was concerned about.

There is nothing anything that I can think of doing that is better than relaxing in the garden with your favorite drink while enjoying the look and sound of water trickling in your very own pond or water fountain. I have spent several late afternoons sitting in a lounge chair, with my little dog Miya lying at my side, relaxing after mowing the lawn or clearing a few weeds in the garden and letting the water fountain soothe my senses. Of all the projects done in my back yard, I must say the pond with the water fountain is my preferred. The project began as a small garden pond that was truly nice to look at but really became my best-loved spot when we added the fountain.

Fountains are lovely ways to add a bit of flair to your backyard. If you don't have a garden pond, you may feel like you're out of luck. But hold on there. These day's there are a lot of options for adding a backyard fountain even if you have a pond.

There are several materials used in the construction of fountains for a home garden and none make for a more beautiful water feature than copper. Copper fountains require much more maintenance than fountains made of other materials.

But there is no other document even this complete belonging to this early period.

No one can deny the soothing effect the sound of water gently flowing over rock or stone through a mountain stream has on most human beings. Unfortunately for most of us, we do not live near a mountain stream and miss out on this soothing pleasure. However, it is possible to easily recreate the sight and sound of cascading water in any home environment.
