Left untreated, diabetes can lead to life threatening complications like damage of blood vessels, kidney failure or heart diseases. It is thus essential for diabetes sufferers to try to lower their blood sugar levels. Some of them would like to do so in natural ways. There is nothing wrong in adding herbal remedies to your treatment scheme, especially if you also inform your physician about this. Herbs can sometimes interact with artificial pills and this is why it is not recommended to decide on your own which herbal treatment is appropriate. Patients who are taking blood sugar lowering pills should also be extremely cautious because combining them with herbs with similar properties might cause hypoglycemia.
