To Know Him Is to Love Him - More years ago than I care to remember there was a popular song that went like this: "To know, know, know him, is to love, love, love him; and I do." It had a catchy tune and sounded romantic. After all, when you're in love with someone, you want to know all there is to know about that person. The more you get to know that person, the more you're likely to love him/her. That's the way it is with God's Love. You cannot give unconditional love unless you have it, and you don't know you have it until you give it away. You see, God's kind of love is very patient and kind. It is not envious, proud, or hypocritical, and does not seek self-satisfaction, exasperation or evil thoughts. It hates wrong-doing, but always rejoices in the truth. Matthew Chapter 24 - The chapter of Matthew 24 is one of the most misunderstood chapters in the Bible. Most believe that this chapter has to do with our wars, day and age however this is not the case. In fact Billy Graham use to say, "Matthew 24 is knocking at your door. Christ Coming vs. Christ Crucified - Let's begin with the obvious: Jesus is coming back! Acts 1:11 says so. None of us believes this world we know is all there is. BUT STOP! Differences: The Old and New Testament - The Bible is a Book that has two main divisions in - the Old Testament and the New Testament. Even though there are these distinct parts of the Bible - it still has only one theme - redemption. This is necessary to understand because the whole Bible revolves around this theme, and some have said that there is a scarlet thread (of blood) that runs form cover to cover. Why We Shouldn't Worry - Do you worry? Are you concerned about your future to the point where it steals your joy? Jesus said in Matthew 6:25, "Take no thought for your life." That seems simple enough, but for some reason we don't get it. We think we have to run our own lives and make things happen. If something isn't going right we think we have to fix it. There's nothing more frustrating than trying to make something happen that is never meant to happen. I've heard it said that if you try to teach a pig to sing, it will frustrate you and irritate the pig. Is the Bible Reliable - The Bible is a Book that is loved around the world. Its followers live in every country and in every climate. Those who read it regularly love its pages and often do not get enough of it. Many even devote their life to the study of it, going after many degrees. But is it a love well-placed, or is it an obvious blind-sidedeness? Is there some real proof that the Bible is reliable? Is it for the people of today? If one is honest, and will take the time to honestly learn the truth, the answer is that there is plenty of proof about the veracity of the Bible. While there are many books that deal with the subject (apologetics), most know very little about them. Blood Cry's Stop Winds - Weeping Messengers They protected and cared for the people but they were scorned and ignored, reported the messengers daily to their Commander. Often, their eyes were filled with tears as they complained to their leader about their disappointment in the people. Yet, they found joy in those who accepted and appreciated their work. When they cannot reconcile that narrow view with their own belief system they state that they do not believe in God and therefore have no relationship with the divine. The Supernatural - Once we arrive at the conclusion that mere matter and natural laws are not sufficient to explain the existence of the universe and life, but a super intelligence is, then what? For some, this begins a life of exploration. Others turn the matter over to organized religions that claim to be a conduit to the creator. For yet others, who assume supernatural is synonymous with superstition, it means stopping before they begin. The word supernatural is laden with emotion and confusion. It connotes a surrealism, subjectivity and phantasm that makes it easy to set aside, reject or use to justify an agenda. Surely, by profaning the altars of atheism and agnosticism he hath revealed his absolutist reliance once championed by Crusaders of yore. Redemption is the need' Redemption first began to be needed after the Fall of Adam and Eve. Who Is Afraid Of God? - Most of those who call themselves believers, profess that they are afraid of God. What does this mean? Let us talk more about this. Are they really afraid of God? Are they afraid of God as much as they are afraid of their friends and others while doing something wrong? For example, a colleague of yours has to rush out and has left the mail box open. You are very curious to take a look at it. My Prayer For Tonight - God. Thank you for the day today. God, I tried to do everything to the best of my abilities. I may have done few things right and others wrong. Please forgive me, my mistakes and please reward me for my successes if you so desire. God, I want to forget today and get up fresh tomorrow. I also want to forget all of my past. God, I want to love tomorrow as if it is my birthday. I want to treat tomorrow as my new birth and forget all of my past. Left To God - God. Many of us at times, become very helpless about a problem and leave the work to God. Let God do whatever He wants now. I am out of this. I cannot do anything anymore. I leave this to God. This happens many times in our life when we feel helpless. Talk to a terminal cancer patient who has given up all the hopes, and you will hear only about God. Am I correct? We also leave many others to God. Sometimes knowingly and many more times, without any knowledge. Let me elaborate. There is so much misery in the world, so much poverty and sickness. A majority of us have left these suffering people to God. Am I making sense? We make no effort to help. Rich Man Attacked by Satan - Happened All in One Day There was once a rich man in need of nothing. He had many children, servants, and animals. But one day, this wealthy man was horror stricken! He was informed by servants that his oxen, donkeys, and camels had been raided by the Sabeans and his servants killed by the sword. On the same day, he was informed that the fire of God had burned up his sheep. Worst of all, the news came that a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of his eldest son's house while his sons and daughters were dining. About Fatherhood - For most of us, our first father is God. A large majority of the world considers God as their father; or rather call God as their father. God is father to all in such believing families. What about biological fathers? How does one become a good father? What are the yardsticks by which we measure the goodness of a father? This is a subject for discussion and application of thought. Who is the final judge about the goodness of the father? The mother? The children? The society? What qualities should a man possess to be called a good father? These questions generate a bigger debate. Can a mother judge her husband about his goodness as a father? That judgment can depend on so many probabilities.
