The trend toward the use of hemp in clothing has certainly ramped up over the past few years. As more of us have turned "greener" in our lives, and realized that we have a duty to protect the planet, hemp has suddenly become the perfect fiber.

Believe it or not, it isn't just dresses and colors that go in and out of style. Fabrics actually do as well. For a good part of the 70's, artificial, man-made fibers were all the rage, including the hemp style. People loved them because they offered bright, vivid colors, and did not require ironing. Soon, though, people realized that when they sweated in them, they started to smell bad, so they went back to natural fibers.

Before being banned in the U.S. in 1937, the hemp plant had many uses in America. It was a staple crop used for clothing, rope, fuel and food. Our first American flag was made from hemp! But, hemp, and the hemp heart-the seed of the hemp plant-have been used for thousands of years before coming to the U.S. Asian and Middle Eastern countries revered the hemp plant and it can still be found in Traditional Chinese Medicine as one of the most useful and health-giving foods.

We are never short on new companies arriving on the scene in the MLM industry, some look good and others don't. You maybe or may not be aware of the benefits that the hemp plant provides to many across the world, it can be difficult to acquire the products though. Primarily because of the restrictions on its sale. However if the Hemp Network gets their way, then we will all be able to get our hands on the good old hemp!

It is one of nature's most versatile and hardy plants with a number of uses including fiber, plastics and food. In China, hemp hearts are one of the most important elements in Traditional Chinese Medicine, revered for a toning effect on specific organs and recommended generally for the entire body.

Hemp is a highly evolved plant species and is not genetically engineered. Hemp is heat, mildew, pest, light, and rot resistant. Hemp's long, smooth, hollow fibers make hemp very strong, durable and mold and mildew resistant.
