The Scottish Highlands in Scotland, is an area that has long been established in most people's mind as a dreamland which gives a romantic feel. It was in the photographic era that the Highlands region got it's fame through scenic photographs and post cards. The Highlands refers to that part of Scotland north-west of the Highland Boundary Fault, which crosses mainland Scotland in a near-straight line from Helensburgh to Stonehaven.
