Hunan cuisine shares many commonalities with its close, more well-known cousin, Szechwan cooking, Both cuisines originate in the Western region of China. The climate there is sub-tropical - humid and warm enough to encourage the use of fiery spices to help cool the body, and to require high spicing of food as a preservative.

The new French cuisine, or Nouvelle Cuisine, is more accessible and comes in many varieties, including bistro food, brasserie style and the ultimate in luxury food, haute cuisine.

Unlike Latin America cuisine, Catalunya cuisine and especially eating out in Barcelona is considered to be a fusion of Mediterranean cuisine with olive oil, fish, and garlic as the centerpiece.

Nouvelle Cuisine is, in a word, the marriage of Health-conscious California to traditional France. Nouvelle cuisine opened doors to a new generation of restaurant-goers who loved rich tastes and fresh combinations, but didn't want their bodies to pay for it later.It has certainly influenced other fields of cooking, but nobody is sure if it can be considered a movement of its own in the current times.

When an American conjures up an idea of "Italian cuisine," often what comes to mind is pasta, red sauce, and garlic bread. Rabbit food. That’s what my dad calls vegetarian cooking and cuisine. Salads and vegetables – can’t be anything more to it, can there? Oh, but there is. Vegetarian cooking is at least as varied as ‘regular’ cooking – and in some cases, far more imaginative.

It began as most ‘ethnic food movements' do - with small restaurants in the neighborhoods where immigrants settled, diners and lunchrooms and tea rooms opened by those who wanted to offer a taste of home to their fellow emigres. Chinese, Italian, Middle Eastern, Thai - from family run bistros, the cuisine spread as those outside the cultures of the ‘neighborhood’ learned of the good food and the word spread.

Organic seasonings, including bulk herbs, are the good cook's choice for great tasting dishes. Organic spices are used to season all manner of dishes found in every cuisine of the world. Greek dishes from the sunny Mediterranean include foods that utilize lamb, olives, pungent cheeses, and red wines. These foods, with their own distinctive flavors, can be complemented by equally assertive culinary herbs that can stand up to the job.

To some people, the phrase "Vegan Cuisine" sounds like an oxymoron. To others, it sounds like the road of a hardcore food nutritionist. "Scary", was the word used by my roommate when I announced I was going to try to become a vegan.

A glance at the menues of Thai restaurants in western countries suggests that there is almost no place for vegetarian food in Thai cuisine. However, this is not the truth.

Toronto, the beautiful land is known for its multi-cultural experience. This holds true for the food too. There is a range of cuisine that restaurants in this beautiful city offer. From authentic Indian cuisine, Chinese, Italian to Thai the range of flavors is amazing.

Gastronomy is taken very seriously in France and with the rich history for fine French cuisine, Paris is a city where you will find some of the Worlds finest chefs serving remarkable cuisine and you will find thousands of cafes and restaurants in Paris alone, ranging from the small bistro such as the Allard Bistro through to exceedingly plush restaurants.

Considered as one of the most diversified and sumptuous food, Moroccan cuisine offers a delightful experience. There primary reason contributed to the diverse Moroccan food is it's interaction with the outside world for centuries. Food in Morocco has blended different cuisines from different cultures like Moorish, Arab, Middle Eastern, Berber, Jewish, Iberian and Mediterranean African.
