I love being a realtor. I guess because I love helping people in the process of finding homes and I love helping them make choices that are the best for them. I work out of California, but I help my clients move to a variety of places all around the country and even around the world. I like this part of my job because I can be familiar with the real estate market far beyond my own state. Recently I had a client inquire about the Idaho real estate market.
Idaho is a state that was named as a result of a lie told by someone but this is subject to debate. It was named by a man called George Willing. He claimed that the name Idaho in a language called Soshone meant the sun comes from the mountains or the gem of the mountains. When I was little and I thought of the state of Idaho, I thought of potatoes, and that was about all. Thinking back, I was heavily influenced by the new Pringles potato chip commercials that had a girl sitting on a tractor out in the middle of an Idaho potato field boasting that Pringles were only made by the best Idaho potatoes! But after I grew up and married someone from Sandpoint, Idaho, I realized that there was a huge difference between north and south Idaho.
