How gullible does he think the rest of the world is? Is the unaware soul actually deluded into thinking people everywhere can't see that he was using the letter as a transparent pretense to grandstand for his own treacherous and impossible agenda?

European nuke negotiators presented their latest package of incentives to Iran, the renegade uranium enriching supporter of terrorism and irresponsible purveyor of bellicose vituperation, and were met with a surprising response. The mullah-dominated nation, while noting there were promising aspects to it, also demanded free pizza delivery.

European negotiators, intent on reaching a peaceful agreement with Iran about its controversial nuclear program, resorted to a tactic that has recently proven to be the most reliable way to elicit a response in much of the Muslim world.

Children of Heaven is an Iranian movie with subtitles about a boy who accidentally loses his sister's worn out shoes after being sent to get them repaired, and must share his own worn out sneakers with her in a sort of relay while each attends school at different times during the day. Unfortunately, Children of Heaven has an unsettling ending. If it were not for this terrible ending, I would rate this film higher.

Ghazal originated in Iran in the 10th century A.D. It grew from the Persian qasida, which in verse form had come to Iran from Arabia. The qasida was a panegyric written in praise of the emperor or his noblemen. The part of the qasida called tashbib got detached and developed in due course of time into the ghazal. Whereas the qasida sometimes ran into as many as 100 couplets or more in monorhyme, the ghazal seldom exceeded twelve, and settled down to an average of seven.

Paper shredders are machines that allow the shredding of any paper to tiny pieces or very fine strips. Paper shredders are commonly used by individuals or groups that need to destroy classified documents that may prove to be of danger to themselves or to their group. These documents are cut into tiny pieces so that no one attempting to read them will succeed in doing so.

People who have their wits usually try to learn from their past mistakes. Whole nations work to avoid the pitfalls of yore. But will the entire globe learn from its past dark history. Sadly, it doesn't look that way.

Dubai is a city built on free trade, openness to foreign investment and good business practice. This is nothing new.

In 1901 Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum established Dubai as a free port, abolished all tariffs and began a programme to persuade merchants from the Iranian city of Lingah to relocate to the Dubai Creek.

Another year has rolled by marked by miracles, political milestones and tragedies alike. 2009 was the year of financial uproar with bailouts and ponzi schemes dominating the news on a regular basis. Contrary to popular belief, the term caviar does not originate from Russia. The term caviar is believed to have its origin from a Turkish term havyar, which, in turn, came from an Iranian form khayah.

European nations negotiating with Iran over its suspect nuclear program initially offered the errant nation a free light-water nuclear reactor. The President of Iran, however, responded by becoming predictably irate at what he considered a "colonial" insult and immediately rejected it.

The reason for Russia's risky stance is as obvious as the red power tie we often see dangling from Vladimir Putin's neck. Iran buys weapons from Russia and will now buy enriched uranium, too. What Lenin once said about capitalists apparently also applies to reformed communists: they would sell you the rope to hang them with.
