Are you really in the holistic health business? Am I really in the copywriting business? I know I work hard to be the best copywriter and marketer I can be, and I'm sure you do too. But is that going to pay my bills every month? Being the best is great, but if nobody knows about me, what good does that do anybody-especially all the people I can help?

Does everybody know what you do and what services you offer? Do you? You may be a writer and provide the service of ghost writing for clients, but what is the benefit your clients are REALLY experiencing? Is it writing, or is it something else?

Caring about your clients and your product or service shows through in a hundred subtle ways to your clients. In my experience, I've found that people that either work in healthcare or start a business in the healthcare industry do so because they really, truly care about helping people. Does that show through in your marketing materials?

At one point or another in our marketing careers we face the challenge of coming up with new marketing ideas. Consistently coming up with ideas for new ways to attract prospects attention or to keep your name in front of existing clients can be exhausting and frustrating.

Declare a niche. Easier said than done for many of us! If you're having a hard time building a client base or are tired of working harder than you need to every time you do get a client because they have unique needs, than you need to pick one specific area to be an expert in.

Whether you are a small business owner, a hospital or nonprofit, or a marketing manager at a large company, taking the time to write down who your audiences are and what they expect from you can be beneficial.

Everyone in the service industry should have something tangible to sell to go with it. That something tangible could be a process or formula that they claim as their own.

I've been exploring RSS feeds and how to get your company's information on them. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and as a reader is an easy way to get short bits of information on a topic.

I've read a couple articles over the last few months about using chat rooms to grow your newsletter list. Most Yahoo groups and other online forums were created as a place for people with common interests or goals to have a place to talk freely, perhaps learn their trade better, and talk with other like individuals. Are you being helpful to others in the chat rooms and forums your belong to? How are you using them to market yourself?
