Don't think you have to go to New Orleans to experience Mardi Gras - it's taking over St. Pete Beach with the Gulf Beaches' Kiwanis Club's Mardi Gras Festival, a family-friendly event benefiting several St. Petersburg-area Kiwanis charities. For three days in the month of March, the St. Pete Beach community celebrates Mardi Gras, first with the Mardi Gras Midway on Pass-a-Grille Beach, featuring hundreds of arts and crafts vendors, food and beverages, a beer garden, live entertainment including a free outdoor concert, and a Kids' Zone. The concert will run from noon until sunset both Saturday and Sunday. Festival attendees are encouraged to wear masks and festive Mardi Gras attire. Admission is free. Related Article Tags: , , , , ,
