The definition of obese in terms of medial thinking is that your body has gained 100 pounds more than is considered as being safe. At present there are many people who suffer from this condition. This implies that there might be what is considered to be an obesity epidemic. It's well accepted that reduced physical activity and fast food are linked to obesity.
