Reputation is most important in anyone’s life. People generally do not bother or do not know about Internet Reputation Management and when they realize that someone has defamed them by posting an obscene video on Youtube or by publishing an article on the internet, it is too late and nothing could be done to take them out from net. It can be costly and difficult to investigate and take legal measures against the offender. If you know who the offender is, probably you could save your online reputation but not before the press adding spice to the news and creating a controversy. The whole world comes to know why you are defending yourself.

If you've ever Googled your name, you know how important managing your reputation online can be. Each day, thousands of individuals are searching online for information about others simply by searching on Google or other leading search engines. With information being so readily available, managing your reputation is more important than ever.

Many of us grow up thinking it's up to us to create our own reputation; that we can control our reputation entirely. However, thinking we can control our reputation is a myth. The reality is we can't. We can't control our reputation because we cannot control what other people think of us. And what people think of us, 'in a word' or two, is our reputation.

Online reputation management has become an important issue for many businesses since the rise of social media websites.

There are any number of reasons why someone may want to search for your name on Google. With such vast volumes of information available on the internet, it's little wonder that it's the first port of call for the majority of people when they want to find out more about an individual.

Political and church leaders, actors and actresses, singers, writers, athletes, professors, engineers, doctors, lawyers and practically everyone (although they may not be even aware of what it truly means) are undoubtedly concerned about their REPUTATION.

However, there’s another ‘R’ word that helps many businesses carry on business as usual, and even excel, through lean times, and that's Reputation.

There is a lot to be said for small business customer relationship management in helping to build the brand and trust in the minds of the customers. In the busy world today when there is little time to spare fighting with sales clerks about what you had ordered and what you received, the reputation of a store can go a long way in building sales and profits. If you can provide a platform for your customers where they can buy what they want and get it easily at a good price, there is no way that they will even think about shopping elsewhere.
