Article: The Panama Canal Railroad became the first transcontinental railroad when it was originally completed in 1855 as the Panama Railroad. I recently moved into a condo in Panama City, right in the middle of the banking district. The area is close to the most soughs after downtown neighborhoods, in walking distance to dozens of restaurants, clubs with live music, supermarkets, theaters and a park across the bay of Panama where I can check out all the ships that are either going or coming from the Panama Canal. Four the past 4 years I have been observing the growing trend for Americans and others, mostly Canadains and Brits, to purchase second homes and to also relocate to Panama.
