If you love heights and you simply can't ignore the satisfaction flying can give you then enrolling in flight training is a solid choice. Basically, if you want to be a pilot someday, you have to undergo excessive flight training and proper schooling in an accredited flight school. Flight training should give you the skills on how to handle, take-off, and land a very basic aircraft or glider.

Like an eclipse, it covered the sun and then gradually glided away. With no second thought, a nearby old village bloke quickly short back, "it's a sign, it's a sign, didn't I tell you, it's definitely a sign". That wasn't a sign. That was an American Pilot, Caril Ridley, conducting a high altitude flight test using a hang glider in India. Since that day, December of 1974, and today, February 2007, the industry has grown tremendously.

Learning flight planning is as important as learning to operate an aircraft. After all, the safety and success of every flight depends on the efficiency of the flight plan. Before a pilot can hope to spend hours airborne on his aircraft, he must first learn how to prepare a flight plan.

People who fly on major airlines on a regular basis probably do not realize the amount of work that goes into getting a plane into the air. Flight crews have to clean, refuel, load, and provide maintenance for airplanes after every flight with an eye to tight airline schedules. Pilots are restricted by national and international guidelines as to how long they can fly, which means individual pilots need to be aware of these regulations.

Pilots of all experience levels and certification types need to maintain a certain level of health to remain in the aviation industry. After all, the rigors of working long hours at thousands of feet above ground can wear down even the most physically fit individuals. Professionals should maintain a good diet, exercise when possible, and take advantage of breaks to get much needed sleep. However, national aviation bodies not only recommend these measures, they require them for maintenance of certification for flight.

Learning to fly isn't as complicated as you think and anyone with the will and resources can learn how. If you're interested in flying as a hobby, then be prepared for a lot of excitement and learning opportunities. Here's how to do it successfully...
