There are three payer records that are sent electronically when doing medical billing. We'll be covering the DA1 record fields 1 through 14 here. The BA0 record sends provider information to the insurance carrier. This review completes the coverage of that record from fields 13 through 28. The BA0 record is the record that submits provider data to the insurance carrier when doing medical billing through electronic billing methods.
