Prayers have been talked about since many centuries. Every time, someone falls in a trouble, he/she wants to pray. But many people complain that their prayers are not getting answered. People of every religion believe in prayers. Internet is full of websites that have prayer requests. A prayer is asking the God what ever we want. In ordinary life we ask people what we want. Similarly in a prayer we ask God what we want. But since God is invisible we do not know his response to our prayers and that creates lot many wrong ideas. What is the correct way to pray? Let us discuss about this. It was September 1957, four young men began to pray regularly in a little school near Kells, Ireland. They persevered and prevailed in prayer, so someone was converted in January the next year. Following that, there was about one conversion every week. Twelve months later they had a weekly gathering of around fifty people at their meeting, and around a hundred other small prayer groups had sprung up in the area! This is prevailing prayer. Why should we pray? Studies indicate that prayer can have significant beneficial effects. Those who pray tend to be happier, more peaceful, and healthier than those who do not. 'Meditative prayer' is particularly helpful as it gives one a soothing sense of calm and relaxation. Prayer is a lot more than just talking to God. When Paul says to 'pray without ceasing,' he does not mean to become a motor mouth. Prayer is connecting with God, and allowing him to live through us. What are prayers? To pray means to convey a request to God. Those who believe that there is no God, can still pray to the higher power in who they have belief. If we believe, you will receive. Whatever you ask for in prayer. Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, Believe that you have received, and it will be YOURS. In the midst of a long list of who begat whom is a short, two verse, story about an honorable man and his prayer. It was a prayer that God answered. In my last letter I shared some thoughts about how to give your life direction. I would like to continue those thoughts. There is another important factor that shapes our lives. That factor is our spirituality, or our relationship with God. Two faith healings have stuck in this writer's memory over the years. Both of these healings occurred while he was still pastor of a denomination church. The two Healing Delivery Vehicles used were "the laying on of hands" and the "anointing with oil accompanied with prayer." Whether it be recovering as a patient in a hospital, or going on your daily activities, prayer can have a positive effect upon your health. To get answered prayer we need to take a long hard look at ourselves.God is not holding out on us.Our confession may be holding us back. Are you open to God's abundance? The prayer of Jabez, and other verses in the Bible, give us a clear picture of what abundance really means and how to access it. I want to show you how to not be dependent on somebody else's anointing. It's the anointing that breaks the yoke of sickness or anything else. There's no doubt about that. That is a fact. What we must understand is that the anointing comes on an act of faith.
