Acrylic Resins are derived from methacrylic acid, acrylic acid or other related compounds, these substances are related to thermosetting plastic or thermoplastic. For textile, lacquer finishes and adhesives Polymethyl Acrylate is used. Polymethyl Acrylate is an acrylic resin but in an emulsed form.
Adhesives or sometimes glue is a substance in liquid or semi-liquid forms used to bond different items together. Adhesives are useful for strong joints. But for strong bond it is essential that both the surfaces are clean and free of oily and greasy substances. Where strong bond is required contact adhesives are not recommended. However, for normal use they are handy. Apply adhesive on the surfaces and wait for sometime. Then join both the surfaces and hold them tightly for some time.
Varnish is basically paint without pigment. It is a high-resin-content finish, traditionally based on oil (turpentine) or spirit and using natural gums like copal and benzoin; there is no real advantage in these old-fashioned materials, which are slower drying and less durable than the wide range of synthetic resin varnishes on the market.
