We all know that there is a growing need in this country to take our retirements into our own hands if we want the funds necessary to have any quality of life upon retirement. The problem is that most of us have no idea where to begin when it comes to financial retirement planning programs or investing. The sad news is that for most of our lives retirement was something that was taken care of if we put in an honest lifetime of work. However, the climate has changed and the retirement funds that many of us have labored to pay for the vast majority of our lives are slipping away.

A lot of people are still not familiar with the concept of a retirement community. It is still mistaken to be just an old age home. In a way, it is true that these communities are for elderly people, but then again they are different from old age homes because they lack the informality and friendly atmosphere in a community.

Financial security doesn't come easy for most of us. Nowadays, it simply isn't enough to have an income which can sustain you from day to day; you also have to plan ahead in order to prepare for your future. If you are a full-time employee working in a company, chances are you already have this covered with your pension or some kind of retirement plan sponsored by the company. Both the employee and the company contribute in such plans. But what if you are your own boss and also your own employee?
