Notice how God creates reality through faith. In Genesis he performed a miracle for Abraham. He made a statement that was humanly impossible but God made it so.

If we ever expect to receive good things from the Father, we must come into His presence from a position of Life and Holiness. Only the Living can come before the Lord and expect good things, and those who claim to be alive must demonstrate freedom from death by being Holy, not by our own righteousness, but rather the righteousness of Christ. We often struggle with guilt over the sins we've committed, or because we feel that we're just not good enough. But because of Christ's death, we are completely righteous and totally forgiven. It is God's gift to us and we can't earn it, or add to it, all we have to do is receive it.

Presidential elections provide a lot of humor when you can recognize the joke. Every few days some new, outrageous flap kicks another outrageous flap off of the front page of our nation's daily newspapers. I do not care if political parties whine about the events of the day. Receiving all of God's good things is one of the great mysteries of living a victorious gospel life. God even gives us the Holy Spirit to show us all the good things we have from God (I Cor 2:12). If we are ever going to receive the answers we are seeking in prayer, our prayers MUST be in agreement with the revealed will of God. The Lord isn't going to let anyone manipulate Him into doing anything He has already said He won't do, no matter how hard we may try to misconstrue God's words. In creation, God made man in his own image and gave him dominion over the earth realm, having a kingdom as he himself had a kingdom called Heaven. He formed the figure of man from the dust of the Earth and breathed his own life into him. Thus he made a friend that he could relate to, talk and walk with. However, the man turned his kingdom over to the enemy, called Satan or Lucifer. Satan was the enemy of God, having rebelled against God's authority, and desired to destroy God's Creation. It must have been fate that Bryan Singer would direct the new film Superman Returns, the fifth in the series of Superman films. Singer loved the George Reeves Superman TV series when he was young, and was a huge fan of the Dick Donner-directed films from the 70s and 80s that starred Christopher Reeves as the Man of Steel.
