A root canal is a natural cavity within the center of every tooth. Root canal therapy is used to treat and save a tooth that has become badly damaged or infected due to trauma, injury or decay. The nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth, where the infection occurs, is cleansed and sealed.

In a healthy tooth, a root canal is filled with blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue. Within the root canal are the important vital structures, called pulp, which keep the tooth healthy by supplying moisture to the tooth to keep it flexible and a nutrient blood supply that can deliver reparative elements internally to the tooth to keep it healthy.

You will have to have a root canal performed when the tiny canals inside your teeth get infected. As it progresses the infection spreads to the pulp inside your teeth as well. It will be necessary for your dentist to remove the infection. Root canals require both skill and experience due to the complexity of the procedure.

In its simplest sense, a tooth abscess is an infection of the root of the tooth or of the tooth itself. When the root of the tooth is dead, a dentist is most likely to clean the tooth and the root canal before filling the tooth and root canal. In this case, a tooth abscess is likely to form in the root and the infection generates puss.

Dental Research Specialist Dr. Weston Price, after observing many patients with crippling degenerative diseases not responding to treatment, suspected infected root canal-filled teeth to be the cause.

Root canal treatment is the best to fight tooth decay. People are becoming health conscious and this is the reason that tooth decay can be fought efficiently with the help of a certified practitioner.

The apicoectomy surgery is done using a local anesthetic. An incision is made in the gum and the dentist invades the infected area and curettes away the diseased tissue.

The same digital technology that has transformed the way Americans take and share photos is also revolutionizing dental procedures. The switch from X-ray images to digital radiography for patient diagnosis is making treatment safer, faster and more effective.

Fans of fiction and myths can't help but be blown away by characters like Harry Potter in their horrific adventures. These are quite fascinating stories that you know are not real, but only a product of the author's creativity and imagination. Such should be the attitude towards going to the dentists nowadays, especially those due for root canal treatments.

All dentists know that sometimes arthritis and other illnesses clear up if bad teeth are extracted. However, in this case, all of her teeth appeared in satisfactory condition and the one containing this root canal filling showed no evidence or symptoms of infection. Besides, it looked normal on x-ray pictures.

It seems to us that their actions regarding the controversy over mercury in fillings is a strong indication of this possibility. Dr. George Meinig has studied the work of Dr. Weston Price, a meticulous researcher. Dr. Price's work shows how germs become trapped in teeth.

Cheekbones, narrowness of jaws, the position of teeth and the formation of the hard palate make the taking of accurate x-ray pictures a challenge.

As recently as 1986, the Mayo Clinic Health Letter stated that infective endocaditis which involves the interior lining of the heart's pumping chamgers and valves is mainly caused by the germ called streptococcus viridans. These are the very same family of bacteria that Dr. Price found to be most often present in infected teeth.

Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces, using a series of clear removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets. You wear each set of clear invisible aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the final position your orthodontist or dentist has prescribed.

The history of the Panama Canal dates back to the 16th century. After obtaining the riches of Peru, Ecuador, and Asia and measuring the time taken for the gold to reach to Spain, it was suggested to Charles V that the trips would be made much shorter by cutting off a piece of land near Panama. This involved fewer risks in transporting the treasures through the isthmus.

Many people have had root filled teeth for a number of years without experiencing an obvious health problem. Dr. Price found a severe stressful occurrence could so overcharge the patient's immune system activity that they now developed a degenerative disease. The two foremost stress factors proved to be the FLU and PREGNANCY.

"Infected teeth may contain, in additon to microorganisms, toxic substances which produce very profound effects upon experimental animals and which tend to prepare the tissues of the host, at least in some cases, for a more ready invasion by the organisms growing in that tooth."

This is of interest,as dentists seldom find teeth decaying,in periodontal pockets at the time the disease is active. The softening of the cementum and dentin which sometimes occurs in these areas is often mistaken for caries, but this a different phenomenon.

Note how small the diameter of the root canal is at the end of the root of the tooth and then visualize an artery, vein and nerve all entering the tooth at that point. You can readily see how a blow to the mouth or teeth could cause blood vessels to be severed. When that happens, the severed artery cannot heal together fast enough to maintain blood circulation within the tooth.

A statement I made earlier in this book, Root Canal Cover-Up exposed! Many Illnesses Result, is most likely causing some of my dental colleagues to bitterly resent the charge that our profession has unknowingly been responsible for the deaths of many of our patients.
