A respiratory system that is too sensitive to the particles that gets into it is very much susceptible to different kinds of infections. These particles pass through the mouth or the nose in order to get to your respiratory system. When these also get to your sinuses, you may develop sinusitis. Headache, nasal congestion and facial pain are some of the problems you may have to deal with when you have sinusitis. When unwanted particles make your body react by having rashes, itching, sneezing or a runny nose, you might be having an allergy attack. Allergies and sinusitis have very similar symptoms. I've suffered from an allergy to dust, sawdust, and fine particles, ever since I graduated from high school. Shortly after I graduated, I moved with my mother into a small cottage. For some reason, shortly after starting to live in that place, I started getting sneezing fits, runny nose, eyes, stuffed up and itchy nose. My condition became so bad that I went to be examined by the local doctor. His diagnosis was that I was allergic to dust, and fine particles. I expected him to prescribe an effective medication to make my symptoms go away but instead, his recommendation was to remove all the dust from the environment where I lived.

Sinusitis is a tough problem to beat. For some, the symptoms can be mild but persisting, which can be a hassle as one goes through his daily routine. For others, sinusitis symptoms can be debilitating, severely affecting the quality of life. Although it may be hard, it is still possible to beat sinusitis. And this can be easily done with the help of an ear nose and throat doctor.

Symptoms that are more directly involved with your sinuses are: sore throat, runny nose, coughing, sneezing, and as a result of these, halitosis (more commonly known as bad breath). To treat these symptoms, you may take a decongestant.
