Scion, one of Toyota Motor Corporation's brands, is the major sponsor behind Whyville, a virtual community. And now Scion, which is an entry level brand, is offering and selling Scion vehicles here.

It is powered by a 2.4-liter, I4 engine with 158 horsepower. Meanwhile, the xD is a 5-passenger wagon, much like the xB. Due to its young consumers, Scion made it a point to keep on manufacturing cars that would appeal to their young set of audience. Since Scion understands the taste of Generation Y when it comes to cars, they have made the bug shield look fashionable.

Car makers also take into consideration age wise distribution of populace while deciding on their target market segment. It is found that a substantial number of youths are there who can afford a car. Among the markets the American market is an important one. The cars are therefore specially designed keeping American youths in mind. Scion xB is one such car made by Toyota. For a car of this type it is quite spacious. Youths can go out in this car with three or four friends without being squeezed in. It has a powerful engine with a stable feel. Actually you get more value than what you have paid for.

Toyota's Scion xB has been specially made to appeal to the younger generation in the 18 to 34 age group. Though it has a body like that of a mini delivery truck it has a distinctive looking profile. It is a compact wagon which offers more than what you have paid for. Its first generation was launched in 2003 and the second in 2008. The second generation is larger than the earlier one but slightly shorter in height. Its engine is more powerful and acceleration is better. For a car with good acceleration its fuel economy is good. It is a properly equipped safe and multi-utility small vehicle.

Scion was started by Toyota as a division which would specialize in cars that appeal to a younger clientele. The xB wagon therefore is designed with this age group in mind and the wagon is the fashion centerpiece of the brand. It has the look of a mini-delivery truck and casts a distinct silhouette. The original Scion xB was a Japanese car but this model was redesigned with the American market in mind. It was modified in such a way that the car got a more serious and purposeful look to it by toning down its cute quotient. It was also made more spacious. The xB was meant to be over all more useful, with an upgraded engine which gave satisfying performances.

The Scion brand is truly a marketing innovation come true for its umbrella company Toyota based out of Aichi, Japan. Their subsidiary brand has catered to a target market previously ignored by other car manufacturers; it has literally revolutionized the car industry with its new youth oriented Scion brand. The company's brand is both unique and exciting in two ways: it offers customization options not seen any where else and it has become a "magnet" for younger consumers. In fact, Toyota's Scion brand has the youngest audience of any automaker: the average age of its driver is only 31.

Car makers Toyota are held in high esteem for making dependable and durable cars. Their cars appeal to various categories of customers. To attract members of the younger generation they made special cars under the brand Scion. The model tC Scion was introduced in 2005. It is a five seat compact coupe which has all the standard features and amenities. Though it is classified as a compact car it has enough room. One of the main attractions of the car is its low price. Its cabin has an elegant look and feel because high class materials have been used there. . A number of accessories and options are offered with the car. At its price the car offers lot of style and fun.

The tC is Scion's compact sports coupe which is filled with promise of style and fun which comes at an amazingly affordable price. This has helped it cut the wings of many of its competitors as it seeks to make a firm base in the more youthful segment of the buyers. It is a very flexible car and comes with the option of many additional add-ons so that the buyer can customize the car. Scion was created by Toyota to make cars which appeal more to younger buyers. So even though Scion itself is relatively new, the parent company's reputation for building reliable and durable cars is passed on to the tC.

Nissan is poised to release a Scion fighter all of its own. The Versa is aimed squarely at young buyers and certainly worth the consideration of those looking for value and style in their new car.

There are many styles in the world. The various cultures in the world have their styles. Men have their style and women have their style. The high tech lovers have their style and there is the retro style of the years gone by. Yet amongst all the styles there is the style of the youth that dominates this world that we live in and many other styles are affected by what the youth come up with.

Months earlier I shared information about five upcoming 2007 models. Model year will prove to be an exciting, if not exceptional year for automakers, therefore five more models are featured herein.

Automakers are clamoring to build and market cars to the Generation "Y" crowd which, loosely defined, and encompasses new drivers and mostly everyone who is under 30. Toyota threw the gauntlet down in 2003 when they introduced a line of cars under the Scion brand. Now, Nissan is responding and the Versa - to be released during the summer of 2006 - is their answer. Will the Versa compete successfully or be lost in a sea of Gen "Y" vehicles soon to flood the market? All of that is too early to determine, so let's take a look at the Versa and what the car has to offer to motorists.

Its cabin looks elegant because of good quality materials used there.
