Snakes senses vary from snake to snake, but all snakes have advantages over other animals. This makes them one of the most interesting, yet dangerous reptiles on the planet.

Caring for snake is easy and it can be effectively done. We just need to be careful about getting the basics right. First, we need enclosures; the size of the enclosures would depend upon the activity and the size of the snake. Active snakes like the Black Racer need a spacious cage to move around. Lazy bums like Boa and reticulated python can do with very small spaces. For inactive snakes, a cage equal in length to the snake and nearly as wide as three-fourth the length of the snake is good enough. For the restless species, the dimensions must be doubled.

The cobra swayed ever so slightly as he twisted his head from side to side eyeing us cautiously. Camera glued to my eye, I edged a bit closer, snapping off frames, playing with the composition. The snake struck the side of my face before I even knew what was happening. I fell backward, away from the blow, my heart pounding. Even though I knew that the de-fanged snake was harmless, adrenaline was coursing through my veins!

If youve read my articles, you know I have two loves: Learning Kung Fu styles and seeing them used in the movies.

Bhujangasana is known as the snake or cobras pose because it reflects the look of a raised hood. As you raise your head along with your chest it represents a snake hood. The rest of the body lies down representing the body of the snake. This asana can be one of the best asanas for your back as well as your spine.

When you've had some success caring for captive snakes, you might find yourself interested in breeding them. This can be done, but it requires record keeping and attention to many details concerning the living conditions of the snakes. The breeding is generally done in the winter so that the babies are born or hatched in the spring.

Once an article has been completed, the story's presentation in the correct format for newspapers and magazines will ensure that editors, too busy to second guess the author, actually read the piece. If the written work, known as 'copy', is not in good order it is likely to end up on the 'spike'; the journalistic equivalent of the 'recycle bin'.

OK, if youre reading my articles regularly, you know that I like learning new martial arts styles. Mostly Ive focused on the Northern Chinese styles, the ones based around Wudang Mountain. I learned the classical Snake Style Kung Fu as a change up from jiu jitsu, and then learned a bit about the Southern (or modern) Snake Style that was created by Master Leung Tin Chu at the turn of the 20th century.

Of all the animals in the animal kingdom, snake perhaps is the most feared, hated and revered. The ability of this creature to kill instantly through its venomous bite, its blood-curdling hissing sound, its fearful slithering form, its ability to hide where least expected and its lightening strike, has certainly made it a dreaded creature.

There are many golf communities in the Jackson Hole area where you can live and enjoy one of America’s greatest pastimes, the game of golf. For more than twenty years, Jackson Hole was home to only one golf course; however, today there are 5 in the immediate area and many more close by. Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis, located at the base of the Tetons, was the valley’s first golf course.

Chinese astrology has become one of the aspects that most people have a fascination for nowadays. As we all know, this has been going on since the ancient times, and has been rooted on early myths and legends. The concept of the twelve animal signs works hand in hand with the five elements and forms a cycle of sixty years. The animals represent the years that people are born. Chinese astrology believes that the characteristics of these animals are given to the people who are born in the years that they represent.

The general population thinks of cowboys, Quarter Horses, rattlesnakes, Brahma bulls, and Longhorn steers when they think about the livestock and pets typically found in the Lone Star State. When they think of pets they probably think of Australian Heelers, Heinz fifty-seven mixes, barn cats, and other ranch related working animals. What you probably don't think of is English Cocker Spaniels. You should. Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine just announced that they have a new genetic test for Familial Nephropathy in English Cocker Spaniels.
