Are you a beginning songwriter who strives towards writing songs that become hits? Do you need to know how you can improve your songwriting skill?

When learning how to write a hit song, you will undoubtedly hear the structure of a song mentioned. The structure of your song will be the backbone that holds all of the other elements of your song together. As a songwriter you will learn that there are many different structures to work with but we will begin with the most basic structure and move on from there.

Learning the basics of how to write a hit song is comparable to learning your ABC's before you read as a child. You have to build the basic knowledge foundation as a songwriter before you can master the art of writing hit songs.

Sir James Paul McCartney is an English singer-songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, entrepreneur, record and film producer, poet, painter, and animal rights and peace activist. He was born on 18th June 1942 Formerly of The Beatles and Wings, according to Guinness World Records McCartney is the most successful songwriter in the history of popular music .He gained worldwide fame as a member of The Beatles, alongside John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. After leaving The Beatles, McCartney launched a successful solo career and formed the band Wings with his first wife, Linda Eastman, and singer-songwriter Denny Laine.

If you are a struggling songwriter or musician, then you have come to the right place. Let me guess, your only goal right now is none other than to figure out how to write a hit song! It is no hidden secret that the music business is a tough cookie to bite into but if you can get that hit song out there then you are on your way.

As a songwriter, you will constantly be observing the world around you as well as looking deep inside yourself for material. There are several steps you can follow when exploring how to write a hit song. Your first step will be to create a title. From your title you can move either to the lyrical aspect or if you are more experienced as a music composer, you may want start with your melody.

For many years I have questioned rules and standards for musical creations. And as a creative songwriter, many questions arise when it comes to going by the books. However, the following rule is one that I have found to be very useful. A Creative Songwriter's Number 1 Rule: The Latest Song is Just a Rough Draft. I have had so many students, and seen so many songwriters spend a couple hours writing a song, start performing it with their band, and never change a word or note.

There is something that is intrinsically special about writing songs. Writing a song and making it a hit is even more special. Sometimes we get so caught up in the whole technical act of writing a song and figuring out what order to do it in, that we lose the whole meaning behind it. Learning how to write a hit song can be a wonderful experience if we just stop worrying and let it happen.
