It is spring now, and for many people, that means getting out into the garden. I for one love getting into my garden and spending hour after hour preparing the soil and planting the seeds of my favorite vegetables, fruits and flowers. If you love to garden then you know a few things are absolutely essential. Having the right garden tools is one thing that no gardener, however amateur or experienced, can go without. So it's spring. The snow has melted away and it's started to rain... a lot. Buds are sprouting on trees and the first signs of green can be seen. You've been waiting all year for this moment when you can once again return to your favorite stress reducing hobby: gardening. As it is spring, there are some things to remember to keep your garden looking fresh and well manicured! Let the growing season begin! Anyone who knows me well knows that there is no place I would rather be at the end of a long day than out in my garden enjoying a cup of tea. In the cool fall and spring months, I prefer a cup of hot peppermint tea in my garden, and in the heat of summer I apt for a cup of iced lemon tea. There is something magical about being in my backyard garden that I just cannot get enough of. Gardening in the fall can be one of the most rewarding times to be outside. The weather is cooler and all of the end of season flowers and plants being to bloom. One thing to remember is that when you winterize your garden you need to take care of your hose. Gardening in the spring is the next best time to garden behind the fall. The increased rainfall and temperatures provide a perfect setting for plants and their roots. Well established roots will help your plants fight off the damage droughts and insects throughout the year. Although not as good as planting in the fall, spring planting is still a very successful time to build a garden.
