Stereotypes abound, and probably always will. People are inclined to settle into an easy to understand view of what a company is, even if that view isn’t very accurate. Part of this is the cold corporation. The idea has been repeated over the years of a heartless company that only cares about profits. They’ll do anything in order to boost up their sales with little concern for the actual people who are providing them with these sales.
There have always been stereotypes associated with hair colour. The most obvious of course being that blondes have more fun but aren't smart enough to realize it. Aside from that the most common consensus is that blondes are sexy, redheads are hot headed and brunettes are good girls. I'm sure most of us can dispel these stereotypes with a few examples of girls we know. I happen to know a few brunettes who certainly don't fit the bill.
Last year we saw Crash running away with the Oscar, and was acclaimed for not only the best movie of the year, but for its exposure of race relations, bias and stereotypes in American society. Again this year, Hollywood, has by accident, created incredible teaching tools that can be used to raise our unconscious biases and stereotypes which can lead us to recognize unique, individual features of others.
