The very first task that I work on with my clients is defining a target market (or niche) for their business. We do this first because everything you will need to do to make your business successful, including creating an effective web site, starting an ezine, and creating online marketing plan depends on what the target market is. As with any full color printing ad that you create, there’s one thing that you should know when you plan - who is your target market? Defining your target market means focusing on target clients that have the potential to become definite buyers of your product or service. They are the ones who have a need for your business. They are most likely small groups that have the same needs, wants, problems, issues, interests, and experiences. Target marketing is one of the keys to a successful sales marketing program. Starting your marketing efforts without first identifying your target market is like trying to hit a target with a bow and arrow blindfolded. A very small percentage of the arrows will hit the target. When in business, one thing you need to learn is how to do target marketing in your promotional campaigns. Target marketing is a strategy that allows you to determine to whom you will promote your products and services, how you will sell to them, how much you will price your products, as well as how you will ensure that you get a positive response from your target market. In short, target marketing is the strategy where you ensure that your target clients will definitely purchase from you. You might think that you do, but unless you have spent time researching this, you likely do not know all that you could, and should, about the people you are trying to reach with your business advertising efforts. An effective and successful advertising campaign has one basic principle – you understand the basics of advertising. And the basics include understanding your business, well enough that you can get it across your target clients and make them want to take you up on your offer. Therapists and practitioners need to define their target market. However, to do that effectively, they need to understand the meaning of a "target market".

In order to succeed it is essential to understand your target market. Promoting your opportunity to the wrong audience will drain your cashflow and eventually force you out of business. But it is amazing how many network marketers are unaware of this basic marketing principle. The concept of a company having a niche market can sometimes be confusing. The problem is how often people confuse the services a company offers with the niche they provide them to. And what is the difference between the two? The world of stock market trading can be intimidating to the novice. There are so many options out there including stock options trading.
