In the 21st century often people are too busy to spend the amount of time required to attend church or mid-seek lessons. Teleseminars will help ministers maximize their congregations time while still listening to their messages.

When the doctor tells you "there's nothing wrong", the hair probably raises on the back of your neck; your anger level increases and you're ready to sock it to him for not believing you're having problems. But, relax, the doctor probably doesn't really mean that there is nothing wrong but that he cannot find anything specific wrong based on whatever exam and studies he's done so far. That's good news and does not mean he thinks it's all in your head. He just doesn't know how to communicate that information very well.

Keeping a symptom diary will help both the patient and the physician come to a more accurate diagnosis (and in less time - an advantage for the patient considering there should then be more time for questions).

When you begin to think your physical symptoms are not going away and God forbid you may need to make an appointment, it's time to start recording your symptoms AND your questions. This diary of sorts and list of questions when taken with you, will provide more efficient care at the doctor's office.

Going around to friends for medical advice is not only a waste of time but it's also potentially dangerous. Use your doctor as your doctor. Avoid trying to find someone who will give you an answer you 'like'.

People are frequently embarrassed when going to the doctor. Often they are so embarrassed that they will NOT even make an appointment. These folks need to realize that there is no need to feel this way. Doctors and their staff hardly notice the things that people fear - they see so many patients in a day or even an hour that they do not process anything as being horrible, funny, ugly or any of the things we fear! Take charge of your feelings and realize that they don't care and you can walk into the doctor's office with your head held high.
