How to bend Acrylic/Perspexâ„¢: The best way to bend acrylic is to use a strip heater with an element running between two watercooled tubes, preferably made from stainless steel. These tubes should be adjustable so that the gap between the two tubes can be increased or decreased depending upon the thickness of material that you are bending. For example 3mm acrylic the gap should be set to 12mm, for 6mm material the gap should be set to 18mm, for 8mm material the gap should be set to 24mm - 26mm etc. Rule of thumb is generally 3 times the thickness of material equals the gap between tubes.

This is often why folks are more compelled to congregate in rooms that have windows than they're in interior rooms that don't have any natural sunlight sources. Natural sunlight is softer and more soothing than the light that is produced by artificial light sources and provides a truer sense of color. Several folks install skylights in their homes so as to maximize the amount of natural light that's in their space. More recently, folks are opting to install skylights that use solar tubes, rather than standard skylights.

If plasma TVs can be so thin, why have we spent decades with those bulky, oversized television sets taking up an entire corner of the room? The answer is in the technology.

Households crave natural sunlight. Almost without exception, folks prefer a stunning, sunshiny day to a grey gloomy one. So it is smart that people install windows and skylights in their homes, to increase the access that they need to sunlight, even when they are indoors. Many individuals install skylights to help increase the natural lighting of a room, which in turn helps to lower energy costs.

The least expensive type of large TV is a rear-projection LCD TV. The images from those small tubes are projected onto the back of a 40 inch to 60 inch plus screen, giving them the name rear projection TV. Other rear projection TV sets use LCD, digital light processing (DLP), or liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS) technology in place of CRTs.

A Boiler or Steam Generator is a device used to create steam by applying heat energy to water. The dip tube in your water heater, (and nearly all water heaters have them), is a long plastic tube that fits into the inlet of the water heater and stops at about 8 inches above the bottom of the tank. Some water heaters have the cold water inlet at the bottom of the tank, and those water heaters do not need a dip tube since the cold water is already entering the tank from the bottom.
