"Uterine Fibroids" Articles

  • Uterine Fibroid Embolization - There are three major types of uterine fibroids; subserosal, intramural and submucous. If you have been diagnosed with any type of uterine fibroids, the treatment options may be limited depending on your symptoms and whether or not any other organs are being affected by the fibroids.
  • Uterine Fibroids and Infertility - Uterine fibroids are very common occurrences in women. They are also known as myoma or leiomyoma. Uterine fibroids can cause infertility, but not all of the time. Uterine fibroids are benign tumors affecting the uterine muscle tissue.
  • My Wife's Triumph Over Uterine Fibroids - There's nothing quite like sitting down on a crisp fall Sunday morning to write about my wife's uterus. I suppose I could have written something generic about the topic of uterine fibroids, but I prefer to write personal stories about true-life experiences that have the potential to inspire and motivate readers. It all started about a year after we got married. During our first year of marriage, like most couples, our focus was on starting a family, which meant we did our best to make that happen. So far, so good. But after almost a year of trying without success, we began to wonder if something might be wrong.
  • Uterine Fibroids - What To Do - Uterine growths can be either harmless or dangerous. Harmless growths or benign growths are non-cancerous and does not pose a threat. One such uterine growth is a polyp of the cervix. Another benign growth is a uterine fibroid though it can still cause annoying problems such as bleeding. The cause of uterine fibroids is unknown. Family history may be involved as there is often a history of women in the same family developing these fibroids. Another unknown matter is why fibroids are three times more common in non-Caucasian women.
