The trignometric equation Sin^2 ( x ) + Cos^2 ( x ) = 1 is attributed to this Master. (The word Trignometry derives from the Sanskrit Thrikonamithi and Geometry from Jyamithi).

Going back thousands of years, Vedic astrology which uses Indian science to interpret movements of the planet and the positions in accordance to the seasons has been in use to establish how these factors affect the lives of individuals. Currently however, it incorporates the use of Zodiac signs too and this can be divided into three main categories namely the Siddhanta, Samhita and Hora. Another name that is used to define this practice is Jyotish which means eye or light of nature. Believers of the Hindu profession have been practicing it for a long time and as more people are embracing the same, it is increasingly being embraced as a means of knowing the events that lay ahead.
