  • Information on Monkeypox - Monkeypox is a rare infectious disease caused by monkeypox virus. The disease was first identified in laboratory monkeys, giving it its name. The disease is most prevalent in Central and West Africa, but an outbreak occurred also in the United States in 2003. Monkeypox can be difficult to distinguish from mild smallpox and chickenpox. Human monkeypox is a zoonotic viral disease that occurs primarily in remote villages of Central and West Africa in proximity to tropical rainforests where there is more frequent contact with infected animals. Monkeypox is usually transmitted to humans from rodents, pets, and primates through contact with the animal's blood or through a bite. Monkeypox cannot be resolved with medication.
  • Monkeypox - Causes, Symptoms and Treatment - Monkeypox is a rare smallpox-like disease that occurs primarily in the rain forest countries of central and west Africa. The disease was discovered in laboratory monkeys in 1958. Studies of animals in Africa later found evidence of orthopoxvirus infection in a number of African rodents. The virus has been isolated from an African tree squirrel, which may be the natural host.
  • The Risk of File Attachments in Email - Email is fine for getting a message across and sorting out meetings, but it can be a bit dull, which is where file attachments come in. For instance, if you see a funny cartoon on the Net that you’d like to share with your mate, by all means send it, but check that it’s fine by them first. Their email account may have a limit on such things – they may only be able to accept straight text, or files up to a certain size. Also be aware that there are limits to the amount of data people are willing to download.
  • The Real Threat Posed by Viruses - Where do computer virus myths come from? It’s hard to say. One minute you think you know how they work, and the next you’re being told you can get viruses from cookies, Javascript on Web pages, viewing GIF files, and so on. All nonsense of course, but it’s understandable to feel concerned.
  • Gastroenteritis - Information on Gastroenteritis - Before the 20th century, the term "gastroenteritis" was not commonly used. What would now be diagnosed as gastroenteritis may have instead been diagnosed more specifically as typhoid fever or "cholera morbus", among others, or Less Specifically as "griping of the guts", "surfeit", "flux", "colic", "bowel complaint", or any one of a number of other archaic names for acute diarrhea.
  • Cyberbullying - A Dangerous Trend - What was once confined to the school yard has expanded into cyberspace, and these days, cyberbullies are causing more than just hurt feelings. Studies suggest that more than 42% of kids have been bullied while online. With serious results in many cyberbullying cases, including suicide, it is a concept that definitely deserves the attention of computer users on a worldwide basis. What is Cyberbullying?
  • Cat Health Problems, Diseases and Illnesses - Animals have their share of common diseases and afflictions. Cats are no different. Rest assured that many of these afflictions are not fatal and easily treated by your local veterinarian. However, there are some diseases that have no cure and can be terminal. Such diseases are often hereditary or passed from other infected animals. First on the list of common illnesses a cat may acquire are hairballs. Hairballs occur as the result of cats performing their everyday grooming routine. Dirt and hair can accumulate in abundance on the cats' tongue and will get ingested into the digestive system. When there, these elements become lodged and eventually form a round ball of mucus. Typically, a cat can dislodge the hairball by coughing, but on occasion one may become lodged in the intestines creating a serious and sometimes life threatening situation.
  • Infant Health Care - Understanding infants health is very helpful for a parent of a child. Infants easily pick up viruses and illnesses. Their immune system is not well developed and it seems every little illness that is around, they get. Having the basic knowledge can help save on stress, time and money. It will also help a parent make sure they are doing everything possible to ensure their kids health. It can be difficult for a parent to know exactly when an illness is serious enough to require medical attention.

  • Some Precautions: Identity Thieves Combine Offline and Online Options - Two out of five identity theft victims surveyed by the Identity Theft Assistance Center (ITAC, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting identity theft through victim assistance, research and law enforcement partnerships) know how their personal data was stolen. This knowledge provides valuable insight about how identity theft occurs. When ITAC surveyed 275 identity theft victims who used the ITAC's free service over a one-month period, 160 consumers (58%) did not know the source of their identity theft. Another 115 consumers (42%) did know how their information was compromised. These 115 consumers attributed their identity theft to the following sources: * Friends, relatives, in-home employees - 26 cases, or 22.61% * Computer hacker/virus/phishing - 25 cases, or 21.74% * Mail (stolen or fraudulent address change) - 24 cases, or 20.87% * Lost/stolen wallet, checkbook or credit card - 15 cases, or 13.
  • Trojan Horse... Greek Myth or Computer Nemesis? - We have all heard the term Trojan Horse, but what exactly is it? A Trojan Horse is a destructive program that masquerades as a harmless application. Unlike viruses, Trojan Horses do not replicate themselves, but they can be just as destructive. One of the most dangerous examples of a Trojan is a program that promises to rid your computer of viruses but instead introduces viruses into your computer.
  • Find the Best Virus Protection for Trojans and Spyware - If you regularly or even occasionally use the internet, chances are you've come across an annoying and malicious set of programs affectionately referred to by computer users as 'spyware'. Like 'adware', spyware programs track your internet usage, collect personal information, spawn 'pop-up' advertisements, and can even alter your internet browser settings. Spyware generally refers to the kinds of adware that are covertly installed onto your computer without your consent. This is a really common problem. Many spyware programs will cause your computer to slow down in its performance, and may even cause lock-ups and crashes, and, in extreme cases can even damage your hardware. For this reason I highly recommend finding the best virus protection software, trojans and spyware stopper that you can. Also, be sure to do it on a regular basis to help keep your computer working at it's best.

Another well-known ailment is rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disease that usually affects several joints in the body at once. But there are actually about 100 types of arthritis and related disorders, many of which are caused by bacteria or viruses.
